How to run a 10 Line Basketball Pool
These scratch cards are perfect for quick and easy basketball pools with 10 people or less. These can be used for any game of the season.
Write the names of the two teams in the spaces provided, then have the participants of the pool write their name on the line or lines of their choice. Once the lines are full, scratch off the covering to reveal the numbers.
To determine a winning square, simply add the scores of both teams and use the last digit of that total.
Example: At the end of the 1st quarter the home team has 24 and the away team has 21. The winner would be the person with their name beside the number 5(last digit of 24 + 21 = 45).
Although a typical game should have four winners, one for each of the first 3 quarters and one for the final score, a little creativity allows for a lot of options with these cards.
Examples:
1. Play one card for every game of the season your favorite team plays in, using only the final score.
2. Run this pool during the any of the Playoff Series. You can use the scores at the end of each quarter, each half, or just the final scores of each game. The total number of winners will be dependent on the length of the series.
3. Most people use multiple cards per game. This creates more excitement as it allows for participants to get a variety of numbers and creates more winners.
